Which loyalty app actually gets used by customers?

Candle store, ~35% repeat rate already. Thinking about a points program but I've seen so many stores with a floating "Rewards" widget that nobody clicks.

For those who run one: what % of orders actually redeem points? Is the widget worth the screen space? And did the referral part ever do anything?

Home goods store, 2 years on a points program. Roughly 18% of orders redeem something. Referrals: negligible, maybe 2-3 a month. The thing that moved the needle wasn't the widget, it was putting the points balance in the post-purchase email and on the account page. Widget is mostly noise.

If your repeat rate is already 35% you may find the program mainly rewards people who'd have come back anyway. Worth trying but watch margin.

we turned ours off after a year. cost more in discounts than it generated. depends heavily on your product though, consumables do better

Both really helpful, thank you. Going to try the cheapest one for 90 days with a hard budget on redemptions and see.
